A unique settee made of mahogany with original French cane backrest and seat. Comes with a pair of new leather cushions that attach to the seat via leather straps.

In 1969, Rud Thygesen and Johnny Sørensen won first prize at the Copenhagen Furniture-makers Guild competition. In 1971, the first copy of the chair was presented to King Frederik IX of Denmark for his 70th birthday. This chair would become the first in a series of furniture that would be known as the King’s Collection (”kongeserien” in Danish).
